The Bird

A bird sits down on a garden wall,

standing poised, straight and tall.

It looks as if to say,

"Don't you welcome the warm Spring day?"

Down in the heart of Winter

There is Spring.

Yesterday the temperature reached almost 60 degrees, so Matthias wrote these two poems.  Actually he wrote a third poem, but that was about the crusades and much more violent...so we won't share that one
